Coincidence?

Recommended Posts

So I was reading my textbook for my "Drug and Alcohol" class the other day and stumbled upon something I found pretty interesting. There's an NHT substance out there (I'll just say it's name referrs to some chick up in the sky with some ultra-hard minerals) with a street name of, get this, BLUE MIST! Coincidence?

BTW... Mods, certainly not trying to get banned for this. I just found it interesting. Feel free to edit or delete this post. smile.gif

when did mush say I'm not allowed to state my opinions on sb? I missed that one.

Ok, not going to finish reading this all but here we go.

If you think there is real nutmeg in this stuff, you are dreaming. I dont know if ANY tobacco uses natural flavouring, but i'm willing to bet SB isn't one of them.

Secondly, lets keep the SB bashing to a minimum. If you don't like the stuff, fine, don't smoek it. But I'm getting tired of every time someone posts about SB there is a rash of useless, unhelpful, baiting posts about how crappy it is. So lets try this, you don't liek it say so simply and straighforewardly (is that even a fuckign word?) or even better, if you dont have something constructive to add to a thread, DON'T POST. Thank you and good day.

I think people that don like SB are just too cheap to buy it... Just like people rag on uber expensive sports cars..

The only reason you dont like it, is cuz you cant afford it...

that is all..

I can very much afford to buy Starbuzz, but don't. I've tried about a half dozen flavors, including Blue Mist, Tequila Sunrise, Lemon Tea, Pumpkin Pie, and a few others. None of them warranted a second purchase. IMO JM Blue Rain was better than SB Blue Mist.

I don't see what the big deal is. Yeah, it's annoying when you're actually trying to discuss something about SB and everyone just keeps chiming in saying how much it sucks. But what are you going to do, make a rule saying, "thou shalt not speaketh bad of starbuzz?" No, that wouldn't be right. I just think we need to reinforce the concept of actually contributing to a thread instead of hijacking it with useless badgering.

Hmm... kind of how this thread has been hijacked not by badgerers, for once, but by the anti-badgerers. Interesting turn of events. tongue.gif

Ok, everyone relax.

The situation was getting to the point that when someone said soemthing about SB, the next 2 pages of posts had nothing to do with the OP's post, just a steady stream of SB bashing. We even lost a member who really likes the stuff because every time he posted about it he'd get flamed.

You are still allowed to post your opinions about SB, but it had better be something to do with the topic at hand and not just a random SB flame.

Does that help clear things up?

Oh ya..back to the original post. I'd have to guess this was a coincidence because they also have Citrus Mist and i don't know (but im sure soemone will tell me) if there is a variety out there called that. Besides, do we know which came first? smile.gif

nah. if AF and Nak were the same price as SB, i'd still stick with those brands. IMO they're just better. . .AND cheaper - so why the hell wouldn't i buy them?

funny find though. and @ ID. i will bash where you don't, and i completely agree - it doesn't surprise me.

Actually if I could afford the uber expensive cars, I would buy them in a heart beat, but lets face it SB is not 200,000 dollars its affordable and it tastes like shit when Nak tastes so much better for much cheaper.

i dunno...for me, its always been about value. even if i had a few billion dollars, i'd still keep my truck...or at least, upgrade to a nice SUV so i can have an actual trunk for groceries. i'm not talking about an escalade either...maybe like a used Tahoe (i like the way it looks) or FJ Cruiser. i'd still shop at the BX or random surf shop...in the clearance section.

either way...even if SB was the price of nakhla, i don't think it'd be an staple purchase for me. but, that's just because i'm not really into the candy-ish stuff. and funny thing is, the candied tobacco usually leans towards the more costly end of the price range. in the US, hookah seems to be marketed towards the younger crowd....and the demand for super sweet flavors seems more prominent than "nakhla" type flavors. so, if the demand is high...companies can charge more and reasonably expect people to buy it.

on another thought, if Nakhla was the price of SB....would I still buy it? Most likely not. Although, I'm a big Nakhla fan...overpriced is still overpriced. Heck, I doubt I'd buy Tangiers at SB prices....now THAT is saying something...
